Rain on the Portuguese side: Andalusia weekly weather forecast June 17-23
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
There will be more rain midweek, accompanied by a drop in temperatures before it climbs back up to 40ºC again
Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday June 18
It was eastern Andalucía’s turn to get rain last week, with the inland towns of Granada, Jaén and Almería feeling the brunt of the storms and flooding. This week, it will be mostly sunny in the region, with the exception of Huelva and the west which will get rainfall.
Monday June 17 is a mostly dry day for everyone, with plentiful sunshine and the chance of some foggy patches on the southern coast, though temperatures will begin steadily dropping over the course of the week.
On Tuesday 18, the rain rolls down from Portugal and northern Spain to hit the province of Huelva – mainly the inland parts but also a bit on the coast – and the provinces of Seville and Cádiz may receive some residual effects of this, especially with the aid of strong winds of over 30kmh.

On Wednesday 19, the rain stretches slightly further to the east, covering Cádiz and Seville capitals, and possibly even bringing storms as far as Málaga and Córdoba in the afternoon, though Granada and Jaén should be unaffected. In addition, the coastal parts of Cádiz, Málaga and Almería will have a windy day with speeds of up to 30kmh.
Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday June 19
While the majority of the rain dies away on Wednesday night, there will still be some lingering remnants on Thursday 20 in Huelva and Córdoba. Thursday is forecast to be the coolest day of the week, with maximums of barely 30ºC in Córdoba and Seville and closer to 25ºC in most places. Night-time temperatures will be around 16-18ºC on the coast and 10-14ºC inland.

From Friday 21 onwards and going into the weekend, though, temperatures will begin to rise again dramatically as all the rain and wind are forecast to stop and we have unbridled sunshine that brings highs of over 40ºC again!
