Andalucía weather forecast, morning of Friday February 9
Some good news for the sadly depleted reservoirs in Andalucía as the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast rain for the tail-end of this week, though it won’t be nearly as much as is needed to avoid a situation of extraordinary drought this summer.
The week starts off dry enough, even if it is a little cloudy on Monday February 5. The wind will be gentle and the clouds high, so plenty of sun will be able to peek through.

In fact, temperatures will go up on Tuesday 6, reaching 23ºC in coastal areas of Almería, Málaga and Granada. Even so, it will be much cloudier than the day before, with some chance of fog in Cádiz and blustery conditions along the Costa del Sol.

Wednesday 7 will be calm again, with less chance of fog, cloud and wind, and a return to the sunny conditions that allow the warmth to be truly felt.
From the afternoon of Thursday 8 onwards, however, that all starts to change. A stormfront coming in from the Atlantic Ocean and across Portugal will work its way eastwards across Huelva, Sevilla and Córdoba, bringing rain to most of the region of Andalucía throughout the night.

That rain persists for the whole day on Friday 9, getting progressively heavier and bringing with it intense thunder and lightning by Friday evening.

It will still be raining almost everywhere for most of Saturday 10, too, but not as strong and it will begin to lighten up at the same time, with the sun peeking out throughout the day.

On Sunday 11, temperatures are set to drop sharply even as the rain and sunshine continues. Inland areas of Jaén and Granada, notably the Sierra Nevada mountains with its ski slopes, will have snow.
