Rainy and cloudy in the run-up to Christmas: Andalusia weekly weather forecast December 15-22
There are warnings of strong winds at the beginning of this week and rain towards the end of it
We could have a bit of a welcome rise in temperatures this Wednesday and Thursday in Andalucía, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), but it will also be quite rainy; then, following this brief warm and wet spell, temperatures will drop as we get closer to Christmas.
The provinces of Cádiz and Málaga are on alert this Monday December 16 almost all day long for strong winds and high waves along the coast, though it should be sunny enough in these areas and elsewhere in Andalucía.

Tuesday 17 will be dry and sunny, too, if somewhat cloudier in parts and still very windy on the coast of Cádiz. Wednesday 18 will be much the same, though the wind will die down for a bit, and it will start to get a couple of degrees warmer.

This rise in temperatures continues on Thursday 19, reaching up to highs of 20-25ºC along the coast and 16-19ºC in the northern and inland parts of Andalucía. However, it will be much wetter, with the rain springing up almost everywhere except the coastal parts of Granada and Almería.

The rain continues overnight in the inland parts of Málaga and the south of Córdoba province, but ceases elsewhere, leaving a drier Friday for most, but accompanied by a sudden drop in temperatures of several degrees.
Temperatures continue to decline as we enter the weekend, and Saturday December 21 brings dark and heavy clouds to the entire region, plus rain to the Costa del Sol, Granada and the towns of eastern Almería in the afternoon.

On Sunday 22, it is just the area around Gibraltar that can expect rain, while for everyone else it is a nice and sunny, if chilly, Sunday before Christmas.
