Day-time temperatures will fall slightly in Alicante province but remain up to 23ºC at night
The mercury has been rising steadily in Alicante province, and whilst the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) hasn't forecast a drastic change in temperatures this week, highs are expected to level out or even fall by up to two degrees in parts, and showers and thunderstorms have not been ruled out.
It will still feel pretty warm at night with minimum temperatures hovering around the 22ºC mark, although intervals of strong or very strong winds are expected during the day and overnight.
Monday July 4 will get off to a light cloudy start in much of the province and there's a risk of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon with strong or very strong gusts of wind. Temperatures will remain pretty much unchanged.
Alcoy: 21ºC (lows) to 35ºC (highs)
Alicante: 22ºC to 31ºC
Denia: 21ºC to 32ºC
Elche: 21ºC to 33ºC
Orihuela: 21ºC to 36ºC
Low cloud will mark the start of Tuesday July 5, particularly along the north coast, and again, showers and thunderstorms have not been ruled out. There's unlikely to be any change in minimum temperatures, although maximum temperatures are likely to fall inland accompanied by light variable winds.

Alicante: 23ºC to 32ºC
Denia: 22ºC to 31ºC

Intervals of medium and high clouds are forecast on Wednesday morning, July 6, and showers and thunderstorms are expected in the north of the province which could be locally heavy. Scattered showers are likely elsewhere with light to moderate variable winds along the coast of Alicante.

Alicante: 23ºC to 32ºC
Denia: 22ºC to 30ºC
