ARCHIVED - September showers but some sunny spells: Murcia weather forecast Sept 19-25
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
There will be cloudy and rainy intervals this week in Murcia with the start of autumn
The Murcia Region continues its gentle slide into autumn – which officially starts on Friday September 23 – with more showers this week coming in to break up the sunshine. All the same, daytime temperatures at the height of the day – around 5/6pm – will still reach over 30ºC until Wednesday, and will only drop to maximums of 28ºC by Sunday.
Night-time temperatures will be noticeably cooler though, gradually decreasing from 15ºC to around 11ºC by the end of the week, though thankfully there will be no wind stronger than a gentle 15kmh breeze for the whole week.
On Monday September 19 and Tuesday 20, the sunshine is guaranteed for the whole Region.

By Wednesday 21, however, there will be scattered showers throughout the day in several municipalities. Lorca will see some rain in the morning, while in the afternoon it will be the turn of Alhama de Murcia, Bullas and Murcia city, though we will escape the heavier rains that are expected across the border in Albacete and Alicante.

On Thursday 22, though the whole of the Region of Murcia will get a taste of this stronger rainfall, with Aemet forecasting “cloudy intervals with rainfall” across the board.

Friday 23 – the first official day of Autumn in Spain – will also bring rain, but lighter and with enough sunny spells to still be able to go out and enjoy the day, while hardly any rain is forecast for Saturday 24.

On Sunday 25, however, the rain returns and Murcia will feel the gentler end of thunderstorms up the coast in Benidorm and Alicante, so make the most of any weekend plans on Saturday if you can.
