ARCHIVED - Southern Spain finally gets cold and wet as Christmas nears: Murcia weather forecast November 28-December 4
ARCHIVED ARTICLE -
It will be a rainy, windy start to December, but there will be plenty of pockets of sunshine to enjoy if you wrap up warm
As December draws closer, the new month will dawn wet and chilly in the Murcia Region, and also windier than usual. After a sweltering summer and an abnormally warm autumn, Spain is due a bit of the cold and rain, which it normally gets in winter, despite misconceptions that it’s always hot and sunny here.
For the beginning of this week, Monday November 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30, it will be sunny in Murcia but maximum temperatures will barely exceed 20ºC in any part of the Region. After a cold snap this weekend just past, the central and northern areas will be feeling night-time lows of around 0ºC, while the minimum temperatures in the coastal areas for this week will be more like 7-12ºC.

Added to this, the usually calm windspeeds of 5-10kph will be as high as 30kph in some places on Tuesday and Wednesday, creating a windchill factor that will make the cold feel worse than it is.
As the month of December begins on Thursday, the wind is expected to die down to its normal speed, but in its place comes the rain, which will settle in with dark clouds across almost the entire Murcia Region for the whole day.

Friday will be a bit better, with only slightly cloudy skies and the sun peeking out again, but there will still be pockets of rain in some areas throughout the day, a brief lull before the rain comes back and drenches the Murcia Region as a whole on Saturday December 3.
Get ready because as we move further into December, we can expect these conditions to remain and even become more pronounced.
