This week’s weather in Andalucía should be mainly warm and sunny as we head into the start of spring on Wednesday March 20, though there will be moments of rain, fog and slightly strong winds, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
It will be nice and bright and sunny on Monday March 18, but there will be heavy fog along the coast from Almería all the way to the western end of Málaga near the Campo de Gibraltar.

Wednesday 20, when spring starts, will bring some more rain to other parts of Granada and Jaén but it will remain sunny everywhere else. Minimum temperatures will not fall far below 9ºC, and in many places will be higher, while maximums during the day will be in the mid-20s.

Through the early hours of Thursday morning, March 21, the rain will move westward down through Málaga and to Cadíz, though it will dry up by about midday. It will, however, be a bit windy on the coast on Thursday, especially in Cádiz and Almería, where windspeeds will get up to 30-35kmh.

From Friday 22 and going into the weekend, it will be uniformly dry and sunny, if somewhat overcast. Temperatures will start to rise, reaching above 30ºC in parts of Seville and Córdoba. Even if they drop again slightly on Sunday March 24, we still look to be in for a lovely, warm Easter week, setting the stage for an abnormally dry spring after the relatively rain-free winter we’ve had.
