Spring temperatures make a reappearance: Alicante weather forecast Dec 7-10

Weather outlook on Saturday December 9

December is proving to be a pretty fickle month and after a few rather frosty days earlier in the week, the temperatures are set to shoot up across Alicante province again this weekend.

However, although it will be warm there is a chance of some light rain in most parts and coastal breezes will pick up strength over the next day or so, placing several areas on alert for gusts and dangerous maritime conditions.

Thursday December 7

A dull start to the early morning will see the skies clear for brief time before the cloudiness increases again during the afternoon, when there’s a good chance of rain across the province.

Nighttime temperatures will remain in the single digits but the daytime temperatures are on the rise once more. A light west wind will increase to moderate along the coast towards evening.

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Thursday

Alcoy: 8ºC to 17ºC

Alicante: 9ºC to 18ºC

Denia: 9ºC to 19ºC

Elche: 8ºC to 19ºC

Orihuela: 8ºC to 19ºC

Friday December 8

Friday promises to be a little cloudy with plenty of clear intervals, although occasionally heavy rainfall is likely in the early hours of the morning.

The night will be considerably warmer than previous days but there’ll be few changes to the maximum temperatures.

Strong winds with occasional gusts have placed northern and inland Alicante on yellow alert.

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Friday

Alcoy: 7ºC to 16ºC

Alicante: 13ºC to 20ºC

Denia: 12ºC to 20ºC

Elche: 12ºC to 19ºC

Orihuela:11ºC to 19ºC

Saturday December 9

Daytime temperatures will climb once more on Saturday, but the evening will be a little more chilly. It will be a mostly clear day with some high clouds and the wind should die down, although some gusty intervals are still possible along the coast.

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Saturday

Alcoy: 7ºC to 19ºC

Alicante: 12ºC to 22ºC

Denia: 12ºC to 22ºC

Elche: 11ºC to 22ºC

Orihuela:11ºC to 21ºC

Sunday December 10

Very few changes are expected on Sunday although the temperatures will increase across the board, hitting a spring-like 24ºC in Elche.

The sky will be lightly cloudy in most parts and mostly overcast in the northern half of the province.

Minimum and maximum temperatures on Sunday

Alcoy: 10ºC to 23ºC

Alicante: 12ºC to 21ºC

Denia: 11ºC to 22ºC

Elche: 12ºC to 24ºC

Orihuela:12ºC to 23ºC
