What to do within the Mar Menor Golf Resort

There are plenty of social activities organized by resort management during peak weeks

In the summer when there are plenty of residents and visitors there is a full social programme organized by the resort management, and full information is posted on the noticeboards in the centre of the resort, at the El Olivo social club, and further information is available at 610 749462. The programme includes discos, sports days, dances, talent competitions, quizzes, and a whole host of activities for both grown-ups and kids. Details are posted in the social club at the centre of the resort.

If you prefer a quiet night in with a book there is a lending library in the social club, where books can be borrowed for 1 euro plus a 1-euro deposit, and for those keen on relaxation don’t forget the spa centre in the hotel. This facility is open from 10.30 to 20.00 every day except Sunday, when it closes at 19.00, and offers a wide range of massage treatments and other therapeutic experiences. Reservations can be made on site or by calling the hotel on 968 041840. A 30-minute “golf massage” after a hard day out on the course costs 49 euros.

Every Wednesday morning there is a meeting in the social club at 11.00 where new owners and holiday-makers can get to know the resort and meet their neighbours, or start sampling the snacks available in the social club bar! Pilates sessions are held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

One of the best ways get around the resort is by bicycle, and those who wish to venture out into the “real world” can get to the beaches of Los Alcázares or the town of Torre Pacheco in just a few minutes. There is a cycle lane most of the way to Torre Pacheco, although the road to Los Alcázares is rather busier and you would be better advised to take your car.
