This represents 3,848,580 people, with a further 4,026,148 having received one dose of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccine.
Whilst these figures rise daily, hospitalisations and the region’s incidence rate continue to fall.
The 14-day cumulative incidence rate has dropped five points in 24 hours and now stands at 70.67 cases per 100,000 people, behind Asturias with 35.73 and below the national average of 101.55.
New cases
On Wednesday September 15, a further 361 Covid cases were reported in Valencia region. This is up from the 176 cases reported on Tuesday and brings the total number of positives since the beginning of the pandemic to 506,931. By province: 49 in Castellón (52,567 in total); 182 in Alicante (185,596 in total); and 130 in Valencia (268,766 in total). There are two unassigned cases.
Recoveries
618 people recovered from Covid, meaning that to date, 506,982 people in the Valencian region have overcome the virus. Valencia province has seen the most recoveries with 269,265, followed by Alicante with 184,829, and Castellón 52,831.
Hospitalisations
There are currently 232 people admitted to hospitals in the three provinces, down from 242 on Tuesday, 54 of whom are being treated in ICUs, six less than on Monday: 35 in the province of Castellón, four in ICU; 100 in the province of Alicante, 28 in ICU; and 97 in the province of Valencia, 22 of them in ICU.
Fatalities
There have been three reported deaths in the last seven days, one less than on Tuesday, meaning the total now stands at 7,745 since the beginning of the pandemic: 840 of these fatalities have been recorded in Castellón, 2,961 in Alicante and 3,944 in the province of Valencia.
Active cases
According to the latest data, there are currently 3,656 active cases in the community, which represents 0.71 per cent of the total positives.
Outbreaks
There have been no outbreaks with 10 or more associated cases reported since the last update.
