A sunny week forecast with no rain: Murcia weekly weather November 18-24
The weather this week looks set to get back to normal for what we expect in Murcia
Murcia weather forecast, Thursday November 21
After around three weeks in which at least some part of the Region of Murcia has had rain, sometimes torrential and catastrophic and in places even snow, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an updated weekly forecast that predicts sunny spells and some light cloud cover for the entire Region all week long.
The downpours in Murcia and the rest of southeast Spain this October and November come after an especially dry summer in which several regions of the Levante faced water restrictions due to drought.
Now, with the autumn rains having hopefully topped up reservoirs enough to see us through to next summer, it looks like there is a return to form for Murcia’s weather – some cloudy and foggy spells but overall mainly clear skies and pleasant temperatures.
The chance of rainfall will be slight, but still possible in the high-altitude areas of northwestern Murcia, around Caravaca de la Cruz and Moratalla, which last week saw its first snows of the season.
Across the Region, there will be some variation in temperatures, dipping slightly midweek, especially the lows forecast for night-time and in the northern inland areas, but for the most part it will be mild during the day with maximums of 21-24ºC.
For the first time in a long time, there are no weather warnings issued by Aemet so far this week, not even for the wind, which will be “weak to moderate” and mainly blowing from the west.
Murcia’s neighbouring provinces, mainly Jaén and Albacete to the northwest, will have rain this week, but the most that Murcia is forecast is some cloud cover. However, weather forecasts can change and it is a good idea to keep an eye on developing weather systems.
