Music, parades and numerous events for children in San Pedro del Pinatar over the festive season

Over thirty activities and events have been scheduled by the Town Hall of San Pedro del Pinatar during the festive season, most of them taking place in the Plaza de la Constitución and the municipal fairground in Calle Alcalde José Mª Tárraga.

In the meantime, the municipal “Belén” or nativity scene is already in place in the Plaza de la Constitución, where the open-air shopping centre is running throughout the festive season, opening from 10.00 to 14.00 and 16.30 to 21.00.

In addition, prizes of over 8,000 euros are to be awarded in a draw among those who spend more than 10 euros on their Christmas shopping in local stores: when you buy, ask for your “tirade” card for the roulette which will be held on January 13.

The program for the 2022-23 festive season in San Pedro includes the following:

Thursday January 8

17.30: Aire Puro in concert in the Plaza de la Constitución, with pop, rock and flamenco music.

Saturday December 10

17.30: Music for young children at the fairground as the Pandilla de Drilo present their Christmas show.

20.00: “Todo por Dinero”, Spanish language theatre at the Casa de Cultura. Tickets 7 euros available from the Casa de Cultura, the library in Biblioteca Lo Pagán and the Museo Barón de Benifayó, or by telephone on 667 637127.

Thursday December 15

20.30: Official opening of the collections of antique toys belonging to Carlos Fuentes and Artesanía Mirete at the Museo Barón de Benifayó. The exhibition runs until January 8.

Friday December 16

18.00: Father Christmas arrives in the Plaza de la Constitución in San Pedro del Pinatar and there is children’s music provided by the starts of the “Operación Triunfo” TV talent show, Mireia Montávez and Naím Thomas.

21.30: Afacmur charity bingo at the fairground.

Saturday December 17

10.30: A Christmas concert by the town band at the M.M. Franciscanas residence in Lo Pagán.

12.00: The town band offer a second concert at the Mensajeros de la Paz residence.

Sunday December 18

12.00: The town band Christmas concert in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Monday December 19

17.30: Street theatre for children Plaza de la Constitución, Los Ladrones de la Navidad, featuring the characters of Chumbo y Pala.

Tuesday December 20

17.30 to 19.30: Visit Father Christmas in his house in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Wednesday December 21

17.30: Santa and the Toy Factory, a Christmas musical at the fairground.

Thursday December 22

17.30 to 19.30: Visit Father Christmas in his house in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Friday December 23

19.00: The Grand Parade of Father Christmas featuring Ballet Kebanna, Mingo, festive acrobats and others, the Pandilla de Drilo and of course Santa himself!

The parade route is Parque Lázaro Escudero, Avenida Emilio Castelar, Plaza de la Constitución.

Tuesday December 27

17.30: Beauty and the Beast, a Christmas musical in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Thursday December 29

17.30: Encanto, We Don’t Talk about Bruno, a Christmas musical at the fairground.

Saturday December 31

12.00 midday: Children’s New Year’s Eve with music and lucky sweeties in the Plaza de la Constitución.

January 2 to 4

17.30 to 19.30: The Royal Pages of the Three Kings are in the Plaza de la Constitución to take delivery of present letters addressed to the Their Royal Majesties.

Monday January 2

17.30: “1, 2, 3 Cantemos Otra Vez”, a children’s musical featuring various cartoon characters in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Tuesday January 3

12.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 20.00: Multi-adventure park with the Pandilla de Drilo at the fairground, including a giant giraffe slide, a fun city mini bike circuit and various other attractions.

Wednesday January 4

17.30: “Día de los Muertos”, a children’s musical at the fairground.

Thursday January 5

18.00: The Grand Parade of the Three Kings, who arrive in Lo Pagán by boat and make their way along Avenida Romería Virgen del Carmen and Avenida Emilio Castelar to the Plaza de la Constitución, accompanied by Big Bird, Ballet Kebanna, Los Carboneros and a series of floats based on planets and stars!

Sunday January 8

9.00 to 14.00: Christmas Collectors Fair in the Plaza de la Constitución.
