August 10 to 12 Piano recitals on the beach of Los Cocedores del Hornillo in Águilas A series of three piano concerts on the beach is being held in Águilas on August 10, 11 and 12, with tickets for the first two “Música a la Luz del Mar” events having sold out extremely rapidly.

130 tickets are available for each recital at the charming beach of Los Cocedores del Hornillo, and those for the third event on Tuesday 12^th August will go on sale at the tourist office on Friday 8^th at 9.30. This concert, which starts at 22.00, features melodies from the movies, with the programme reading as follows:

2. Twilight – River Flows in You

3. Game of Thrones– Main theme

4. Schindler’s List – Main theme

5. La Vida es Bella – Main theme

6. La La Land – City of Stars & Mia and Sebastian’s Theme

7. Interstellar – Cornfield Chase

8. The Theory of Everything– Arrival of the Birds

9. Harry Potter – Hedwig’s Theme

10. The Piano – The Heart Asks Pleasure First

11. Memorias de África – Main theme

12. Oppenheimer – Can You Hear the Music

13. The Godfather – Love theme

14. Cinema Paradiso – Love Theme

15. Pirates of the Caribbean – He’s a Pirate

16. La Casa de Papel – Bella Ciao

Aguilas Tourist Office Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)

Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.

The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
