There will also be showers along the southern coast this week, but it should be a dry and sunny weekend for inland areas
Andalucia weather warnings, Monday February 13
It’s a windy start to the week in Andalucia, especially along the coast, but inland areas should remain dry, if overcast, while temperatures begin to rise across the board.
The week starts off in Andalucia with weather warnings from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) along nearly the whole southern Spanish coastline for “very strong gusts” of easterly wind and large waves on Monday February 13 and Tuesday 14, especially in Cadiz and Almeria.
Sources from the Emergency Services Emergencias 112 Andalucia are urging people to exercise “a lot of caution” in these areas. The windy weather will come with “light and occasional rainfall”.
Aemet also notes that, across the rest of Andalucia, minimum temperatures will remain unchanged “with light frost in inland areas”, but that maximum temperatures are rising slightly from last week.
Andalucia maximum temperatures, Tuesday February 14
For now, Aemet has not issued any weather warnings for Wednesday February 15, expecting the wind to die down to reasonable levels. However, there will still be “occasionally stormy” episodes of rain on the coasts of Huelva and Cadiz, down to the Strait of Gibraltar, and in the far east of the region, near the border with Murcia.
Andalucia weather forecast, Wednesday February 15
By Thursday 16, most of the rain will have begun to dry up, save for some “weak precipitation” in the high mountainous areas of Granada and in Gibraltar, where there will be “strong easterly winds with occasional very strong gusts“. For the rest of Andalucia, it will be a sunny day and, while minimum temperatures in Jaen and Almeria will be close to zero, the maximums during the day will be around 17-18ºC, and even up to 22ºC in Cordoba and Seville.

Over Friday 17 and Saturday 18 the heavy cloud cover will begin to return, and the Strait of Gibraltar will continue to feel the grey drizzle of rain, but overall temperatures will start to rise and there will be several towns and cities in Almeria and Cordoba that get highs of over 21-23ºC in the afternoons.
On the Costa del Sol, those temperatures will be slightly lower – around 17-19ºC during the day – but at least it will be a dry and settled weekend.
