Young man attacked with bottle in pub on the Costa del Sol
The victim lost a lot of blood after being hit on the head
This past weekend, a man sustained a terrible injury after an altercation broke out in a pub in the town of Estepona. The victim suffered a blow to the head and was bleeding heavily by the time the ambulance came and took him to the hospital.
The alleged attacker was arrested shortly after the incident by the local police of the town. The incident occurred on Saturday night in Estepona. Local officers who were already working to break up a conflict between young people at the marina, were called to the bar because of the news that there was a badly injured man not far from where they were.
The officers went quickly to the scene and discovered that a man was bleeding from his head and had lost a lot of blood. The injured man was taken to the nearest health centre where he was treated by doctors. From there, due to the severity of his injuries, he had to be referred to the Costa del Sol Hospital. He was shortly afterwards let go from the hospital after they had evaluated his injuries.
The police interviewed several witnesses, who were at the pub at the time, to obtain information about what had happened. The investigation led to the arrest of the man who was suspected of attacking the victim with a glass in the toilet area of the pub.
The attacker then fled from the scene after the attack, but the police managed to locate him on the terrace of another bar along the Avenida del Carmen. The man tried to resist the arrest, but was eventually taken in by the police.
In other news, a few days earlier, the local police had arrested a man who had allegedly threatened officers in Estepona who were going to arrest him with a knife.
The man was carrying a large knife and threatened the policemen who came to try and calm him down. The Police were initially called because they had received calls about a very agitated man carrying a large weapon.
The police then chased the man through the streets of Estepona and three patrol cars participated in a foot chase that began through the streets of the municipality.
The alleged perpetrator continued to flee and, once he reached a dead end, he was cornered by the officers at the bottom of a staircase. It was here that he threatened the police with the large knife, and it took a little while for the man to calm down and for the police to arrest him.
Later, at the health centre he had attended, doctors discovered that he was a person with a mental illness who had supposedly stopped taking his treatment and had possibly consumed some kind of drug.
