ARCHIVED - Current covid restrictions within the eight provinces of the Andalusia region
In most of the eight provinces the alert level is two or three, permitting movement within the province
The different Covid-related restrictions in place for the eight provinces of the Andalucía region (Andalusia in English) namely (Almería, Granada, Málaga, Cádiz, Córdoba, Seville, Jaén and Huelva) are quite confusing at the moment, as while some measures are region-wide, such as provincial border closures preventing movement between provinces, a perimeter border closure affecting all of the region and a night-time curfew, others depend on area-specific infection rates and alarm levels.
Many health districts in Andalusia have recently moved down from level 4 to levels 3 and 2, meaning that some restrictions have changed.
The map above shows the geographical areas subjected to each level of restrictions minus a few red-level municipalities listed below.
Below are summaries of the official measures for each level currently applicable:

There are just a few exceptions to the rules in municipalities which remain confined due to the high numbers of cases.
These are: Twenty-eight towns and villages in Andalusia will continue with municipal perimeter closures in place as of midnight on Friday (12 March) following the latest review of 14-day accumulated incidence rates, as their rates are still higher than 500 cases per 100,000 residents.
Moreover, non-essential businesses must stay closed in nine that register incidence rates of more than 1,000 cases per 100,000 residents.
Although rates are gradually falling, the latest data from the regional health department reveals that the rate is still over the 1,000 mark - meaning that non-essential businesses must close and perimeter closures remain - in Santa Cruz del Comercio, La Calahorra, Zujár and Fornes in Granada; Montellano and Castillo de las Guardas in Seville; Instinción and Líjar in Almería; and Hornos in Jaén.
Meanwhile the towns and villages with rates higher than 500 cases per 100,000 residents – where perimeter closures continue – are: Alhama de Granada, Cuevas del Campo, Cogollos de Guadix and Jayena in Granada; Tocina, Los Molares, Lora del Río, Villanueva del Río and Minas y Constantina in Seville; Pulpí, Antas, Gergál and Padules in Almería; Montejaque, Archez and Gaucín in Málaga; Arguillos in Jaén; Paterna de Rivera in Cádiz; and El Viso in Córdoba.
