The route in the Regional Park of San Pedro del Pinatar follows the Sendero de Coterillo

<span style='color:#780948'>ARCHIVED</span> - February 5 Free guided walk in the salt flats and dunes of San Pedro del Pinatar This free guided visit to the Regional Park of the Salt Flats and Sand Dunes of San Pedro del Pinatar begins at 10.00 in the car park at the Charca del Coterillo and lasts for three hours, covering a distance of approximately 3.8 kilometres. In the course of the walk it will be possible to indulge in some bird-watching from the hides in the park, and the focus will also be on the plant and animal life in the pine groves, including small reptiles.

The route also includes a stretch along the seashore on one of the unspoilt beaches in the area.

Online booking is available here, and participants are advised to wear comfortable clothes and footwear (no bright colours please!) as well as bringing binoculars and drinking water.

San Pedro del Pinatar Tourist Office The municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar has one principal tourist information office which is open throughout the year, and then other tourist information points which open during the peak summer months. Due to its location on the fringes of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean coastline, San Pedro del Pinatar has a period of intense summer tourism activity during the peak summer months, although is popular with retirees of all nationalities out of peak season.

Much of the tourism activity is directed into these peak months, although the Salinas natural park and health tourism hotels in San Pedro del Pinatar make this a popular destination throughout the year.
