ARCHIVED - 152 new Covid cases on the eve of new normality: Valencia update October 8
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
The majority of anti-Covid restrictions will be lifted in Alicante and the rest of the region from 12.01am October 9
A continued downward trend in terms of new infections, hospital admissions and the cumulative incidence rate has prompted the regional government to lift "the maximum number of restrictions possible" from tomorrow, Community of Valencia Day.
In light of the fact the 14-day cumulative incidence rate has fallen from 136 to 38.02 cases per 100,000 people in a month - below the national average of 48.92 - hospitalisations have dropped from 351 to 154, and more than four million people are now fully immunised, "capacity limitations in all establishments and activities in general will be abolished".
Mask wearing, however, will remain mandatory in public spaces and where social distancing cannot be exercised.
