The initiative, dubbed 'Tempo', is the result of a collaboration between Monkey Pro and Real Murcia CF, which has the exclusive concession for use of the stadium for 50 years.
In a bit of an ingenious use of space, the new auditorium will make the most of the unused stands of the stadium, with the stage located at the south end of the field. The stage will be easy to assemble and remove, since it will be integrated into a trailer. This will allow the stadium to host concerts and events without disrupting the playing field, which was a major concern during the football season.

The Enrique Roca Stadium has already proven itself as a top-notch venue, hosting successful events such as the Robe Iniesta concert, Love the Twenties, I Love Reggaeton and Visor Fest festivals in the past.
According to Monkey Pro, the new auditorium will offer a unique and intimate setting for live music events, with a seated audience and state-of-the-art lighting and sound production.
Murcia Coty Council fully supports this novel use of the stadium, saying that "this new project will be part of Murcia 1,200, the celebrations that the Council is carrying out to commemorate the city's twelve centuries of history."
"This new concept was born with the aim of offering an unprecedented musical experience, combining the spectacular nature of the stadium with a lighting and sound production designed to turn each concert into an unforgettable event," adds the promoter, highlighting that “Tempo will feature different types of experiential tickets, allowing attendees to enjoy the music in innovative and exclusive ways."
The same sources add that "the name of the first artist to inaugurate this spectacular venue will be revealed very soon," with an event from which they intend to put together a programme that can run "throughout the year."
Meanwhile, the possibility of holding concerts in a private venue outside the Enrique Roca Arena remains up in the air. Monkey Pro has not yet ruled it, but the project is facing huge backlash from residents because of the potential noise.
